Kick it to the Curb

On Saturday, May 16, 2009, people all over will participate in "Curb
Day", what may be the largest mass recycle/reuse event ever! Created by
efficiency-minded former teacher Mike Morone of Rochester, NY, Curb Day
is a day when residents across the country are encouraged to take the
good "stuff" they don't need anymore and put it on the curb for
passers-by to take. It doesn't get much easier than that. It's meant to
encourage reuse/recycling and discourage waste, saving folks time and
money in the process.

Check out the official Curb Day website for
tips on what to set out, what will get you in trouble, and driving tips
while you're out curb shopping. When you realize that this is a great
idea, check out Freecycle and Craigslist
for the other 364 non-Curb Days to give and get freebies.

Give it away, give it away, give it away now...
